Adding IP adresses
Hi folks wht community can you bring ssh commands to add aditional ip addreses to my server?
Sure, what OS are you using? Any control panels installed?
centos 5.3,sure webmin and da
Well, you probably want to add the ip aliases via da, but not sure how da maintains ip's for backup etc.
But anyways, how to add alias ip's for centos .. some good info here .. http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/...topic_id=13389
You basically add an additional file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
named eth0:x (x = incremented number) for each additional ip address, or if ips in the same subnet, use an ip range. RHEL/Centos man pages document pretty well.
