    Could not save files

i have a problem when i want to save a file in network drive.
i can't replace the existing file and have to save under a different name.

is there any solution so i don't have to save the file under a different name first and delete the old one?

    thanks

Usually restarting the computer somehow work. But this is getting annoying.

What kind of server or workstation are you saving the file to? Does the server think the file is locked by your workstation?
If you have to operate your company behind the scenes or under a fake name, maybe it's time to leave the industry and start something fresh.

Please provide more details on the network storage and your system being used to access it.

Sometimes I used local file sometimes I used network file. The problem shows up if I open the file at notepad or scintilla.

Notepad tells something more specific. The file is opened by a process. Which process? Chance is notepad itself because that's what open the file.

The file are web saved from internet. So the file is "associated" with some folder. If I delete the files, some folders get deleted too.

This could well be a issue with the permissions on the network store and someone somehow taking control of the file.

Your concern is all about file permissions. The network files are permitted to be read only. This is to secure the files and you must contact your admin to enable writing on files.
