I took pictures of this guy being a fraud and promising me a refund and later claiming that it was a mistake to promise me that they will be posted once i have 5 posts

I'd suggest going elsewhere, or even going direct to BurstNET, since he's only reselling their services anyways.

Furthermore, I'd suggest getting a PayPal dispute started immediately. If he's promised services to you, and has failed to render the services or a refund, it's grounds for a PayPal dispute/chargeback claim.

In a chargeback, it's more likely. In a PayPal dispute, it can go either way. The more documentation you have, the better suited you are in any case. Credit card companies are more apt to go up to bat for their customers.

For filing a dispute?? Absolutely not. That's why the dispute resolution process exists in the first place.

I spoke to him on yahoo messenger a while back and advised him to stay away from burst. He didn't listen. I haven't seen him online in a few days. Adding to that, he's also banned from here and FWS.

    This, I agree 110%.

It doesn't matter how much you claim how important your data is. If it's not backed up, it's not important.

Okay, so we've banned him, WHT has banned him and FWS has banned him.

Who's at fault, in your opinion, deeplist? Are you defending him or making the OP's point?

he's not our shirtless tech. It's Eddie(Carl) himself. when you do a live chat from Techni host, if you're lucky enough to get Eddie, his photo in the upper right of the chat window is him, shirtless.

    Just to clarify.

And there's no way I'm taking that bet.

Thanks for clarifying. Sorry for my oversight. I was worried there for a minute.

it is but i also love how people are saying burst is drama or implying they are at fault somehow. To the person that said burst needs to get a clue...Start a business, make it nearly 20+ years and then say someone needs to get a clue.

Never buy a dedicated server from somebody that doesn't actually own their own hardware. It's a disaster waiting to happen. Deal directly with the datacenter, or somebody that rents datacenter space. Not a reseller.

Everyone says that. Then you see pictures of the same 3 DC's on every resellers web site...

    It's marketing fluff..

Then people laugh at those of us that own one when they see pictures equipment and facilities they've never seen.. Just because we don't all overspend on raised floors and armageddon detection systems. A DC by definition is a internet connected facility that houses DATA. I don't care if its in a garage or the top of the Sears Tower. Owning it is a bit different than renting space in one in terms of access and availability in terms of crisis response.

In other words, you are waiting for someone to contact someone else to contact someone who can talk to or direct someone to have someone fix something somewhere at some time.

Call the little guys with the little DC, you generally talk to the someone who can do something for anyone.

You can rent, and still have on-site presence.

    Brilliant

Why people can't be honest and just say, we resell, or we colocate our servers at XXX is beyond me.
