anyone have any suggestions on a VMware converter tool? I have the free version of VMware ESXi running a shuttle PC and I would like to convert my windows PC to a virtual OS so I don’t have to rebuild it. I already have Linux running on my shuttle.

My PC has hundreds of tweaks and applications I cant afford to have to reinstall so the idea of it being virtual and backing up on a snap shot to an external sata usb like my Linux server would be great.

I’ve been told of an application called Quest that allows you to convert a running Windows system to a virtual system?

As RajanUrs said, use the VMWare vCenter Converter, it's free and does exactly what you want

cheers guys i didnt no the vmware converter tool was free as well. You cant beat free software :-)
