Bogus calls from the FBI about Wikileaks

    Hello,

Is anyone else getting bogus calls from the FBI? I keep getting called and the gist of the conversation is how I've viewed classified documents on wikileaks, how it's punishable with a fine of up to $250,000, how my information was passed along by my ISP, and that I need to explain myself as to why I did this. They seem to be quite persistant as they have called me 7 times in the last hour and woke me up from my nap. *grumpy jacob awakes*

It seemed legit by the tone of voice and professionalism but it seems like bogus as if it was the FBI then they obviously wouldn't be contacting me as I am not the owner on the account for my internet, rather someone else in my family. That said, am I the only one getting these or no?

I know for a fact, if I'm getting them then surely freethenoob must be too.

Interesting! I haven't recieved any calls... I have a zipped file of those one wikileak documents that were released in a zip file. I haven't distributed them, but I am keeping them for my own keeping. If anyone in law enforcement reads this. This is America. I am free remember? I'm not redistributing them, or anything. =)

However, if I get a call I won't delete them unless they supply with a new harddrive of greater value.. =)

It's like that someone read the fine on the poker websites and copycat'ed it.
Note: I don't live in the US and I will gladly post anything that gets a black sedan with black windows in front of my house .

You should let your local police know. It's illegal to pretend to be the FBI.

I've heard that Mike from Limestone gets those when he buys milk. He will probably come by this thread himself to explain these events.

I got a call from the FBI once asking if they could come by my house to ask me a few questions. I almost crapped my pants until he told me he was conducting a check on someone who had used me as a reference. Then I almost crapped my pants again when they showed up 10 minutes later. Them guys are fast. Luckily it wasn't anything bad but yeesh getting that call waking you up saying. This is so and so from the Federal Investigative Services is a scary thing.

This site has been mentioned in MAINSTREAM NEWSPAPERS and if it wasnt legit,NO MAINSTREAM PAPER WOULD MENTION IT TRUST ME!!

Jacob Wall, somebody you know is pranking you.

The Dude, that's simply a ridiculous conspiracy theory.
'Mainstream' media outlets hire educated and trained writing/research professionals.
'Non-mainstream' media (i.e., blogging from mom's basement) is unqualified hacks and kooks.

Indeed. Call the police and file a report. That kind of behavior should be prosecuted.

It is the FBI pretending to be pranking..... they do not want anyone to know they are FBI because Wikileaks is setup by the government. It all makes sense now

I got a call from the FBI some years ago when it involved some radical animal rights group indivduals I reported. I had submitted some proof to them of what said indivdual had done with logs, photos, etc. 2 minutes later the phone rings with no number, no caller id, etc. He said "Hello, this is agent <insert name> with the FBI. May we speak with Kerry Jones?"

Didn't get a call but got a fake email from someone saying they was in the FBI, but not 20 minute's later the CIA showed up in front of the local bar I hang out at. Telling me how I did something over seas, and how I got a Fraud and that I'm looking at life in prison, and I asked whats my full name, they told me; Mr. Andrew R. Jackson - I showed those idiots my ID I said do I look like a Jackson!!!

I still had to go to a supreme court, and the person who was using my Identity was actually a female trying to get her dead husbands Military benefits still telling the government that he was changing his name. And no one had the Balls to even RUN a complete check on this boggus STORY!!!

In short, my credit was Screwed to hell 2 years ago. And I'm still working hard on getting it back. Cause the Government didn't want to admit they was totally wrong on there resources and I got the hard steel boot to my personal life due to it. But yeah watch out for that junk sometimes you never know it can be something that is honestly crapping on you

Oh Lord, not one of those types of guys. If I say the guy in your backward did it. Will I be classified as the guy you quoted? Or just some bum with a bottle talking nonsense?

Most Conspiracy's and Theories are just that and sometimes there is that 0.00000001% chance that crack-pot of a uncle of ours was telling the truth about how FBI agents or Aliens would somehow invade us. (---Dies Laughing---) yeah I don't know where i'm going with this. But i'm laughing too hard
