    It might be easier to give suggestions if we know the domain . Have you opened a ticket with WHMCS yet?
    If you have to operate your company behind the scenes or under a fake name, maybe it's time to leave the industry and start something fresh.

    Without seeing that line and a few near it, impossible to say. Basically, it's a syntax error in that file.

    Once again, if we can't see the line it's complaining about, we can't tell you how to fix it. Currently all we could say is "fix that error".

    How is it impossible to fix without seeing the blacked out part? The error is because there is a syntax error in config.php.

    @OP. Please post the first 3 lines of configuration.php. Feel free to remove sensitive data.

    EDIT: By 'line'...you all meant the actual line in the file. DUH! My fault. I for some reason was referring to the blacked out part of the image.

    <?php $license="cAe8d81S16daY90b5bF2905bbW057ea0cN30a0"; $db_host = "localhost"; $db_username = "n/a_billing";

    That is the first 3 lines.

    Did you have to modify this file at all during installation? If so, what was the reason?

    I'm sorry. I should have asked if you modified it at all and for what reason?

    What version of WHMCS are you using, and where did you get your license?

    Are you saying you edited that file?
    If you did, what did you use to edit it, please?

    Try changing the first line to...

    Code:
    $license = "cAe8d81S16daY90b5bF2905bbW057ea0cN30a0";
    *Notice the spaces.

    If that doesn't work, enter the old license key.

    Then when you change the license, you should do it via the admin panel.

    Yeah, when you change the license, you shouldn't just edit the file. You need to put the old license back in the file. Then go to the WHMCS admin area and change the license key from there.

    More than one license, and forgot the license key? Out of curiosity, and no offense intended, is this a legal copy?

    Let me give you an easier questions.

    When you obtained this copy of WHMCS. Who did you pay money to?

    Please contact WHMCS to have this license of yours verified as legitimate, and then obtain help. Since we can't know if it is legitimate (doesn't really sound like it at all), we can't help you with it as it's potentially an illegal copy and can't be discussed here on WHT.

    Contact us on the helpdesk if you have any questions about this.
