    Your Web Browser?

I know this has been asked for a zillion times already. I just made the switch from Firefox to Chrome completely. Firefox is just way behind Chrome in many areas although there are some aspects of Firefox that are better than Chrome...

I used to use Firefox exclusively and when Chrome was released, I used it occasionally and the usage level gradually increase over the years up till now whereby it's now time for me to ditch the lovely Firefox.

What's your opinion on Chrome and Firefox?

That's what I thought a year ago. However, Firefox is slower, seems to be more buggy, Sync plugin never seem to work as beautifully as Chrome does and other differences made me switched to Chrome after gradually falling in love with it.

I was using Google Chrome until Firefox 4 went stable. Although Chrome is very fast, I like the feel of Firefox 4 better. That's not to say that I don't use them both, though; I simply use Firefox more.

Just started trying Chrome again, my main issue is always with blocking adverts. I've installed the Adblock-Plus extension but still getting the Facebook sponsored ads. Need to play around a bit more to see if I can get rid of them

Using Chrome, FF4 and IE9 here. All works well but Chrome seem to be slower now when compared to the newer versions of FF and IE.

That's weird since I don't see any with Adblock.

I have Firefox 4 as well. I thought it could be a reason for me not to leave but the speed improvements don't seem that significant to me as compared to Chrome. As for IE9, I have it, but it offers me no reason to use it regularly.

Firefox for me.....used it from the start! And Netscape Navigator before that.

IE? Hardly ever used it....never will either considering I've been Windows-free for 3 years now.

Chrome? I like it....it's very quick. But I'm just so used to Firefox....and unless something goes radically wrong, I won't change.

    Firefox primarily but also use
    Opera
    Safari
    Chrome
    IE

I used Netscape back in the 90s before IE existed.

    IE6 rules! hahaha kidding

Firefox is my steady browser - version 4 is cool.
I feel more secure in Firefox compare with Chrome.

What about Comodo Dragon? Personally, I like firefox 4 (been using firefox since about 2002), what I like about firefox is the toolbars. Since I constantly have to access hundreds of websites on the daily, it makes my day more efficient and productive. However if there was no Firefox, my second choice would be Comodo Dragon.

Firefox is my default browser, I use it for everything in normal life. I use Opera when I'm loading proxies, and the only time I use IE is to download FF.

Firefox all the way for me and since version 4 came out it would be impossible for me to switch

I've tried many browsers and if Firefox wasn't an option I'd probably go with Opera.

I had switched to opera for a while but lack of some features made me switch back to Chrome, but now I'm thinking about going back to FireFox since FireFox 4 was released recently as stable.

FireFox. I'm not very fond of FireFox 4, though... I may go back to 3.X.

Agreed! I am glad to read someone else saying it.

It seems that FireFox has retained many of its original elements (e.g. speed, cool features, etc.), but it seems that its stability has been lost. I have been observing many more FireFox crashes over time.

I really like Firefox especially the interface but they have gone all minimalist with 4, I may as well be using Chrome.

Firefox has been quite unstable for me.

I use Pale Moon 4.05 now. http://www.palemoon.org You can use the same addons, plugins, & themes as Firefox 4.0.

I highly recommend using Memory Fox. 7.4 to boost your Firefox & Palemoon browsers performance. Memory Fox boosts Opera, Chrome, and the rest of the browsers too.

I moved from FireFox to Chrome a few months ago after Adam suggested I do it. Originally I was not for the look that chrome has but I have since gotten used to it. I absolutely LOVE DNS preresolution, it seriously makes the web 10x faster it seems.

I've formatted my PC this evening, and the first program I install is Firefox. I must of been running an older version, because theres a newer one out then I had, and it looks nicer then the previous version, and as always.. Browsing is unbeatable! I want them to release a Firefox for the iPhone!

I use Firefox because among other things on a PC it is the only correctly color managed browser that allows accurate and nice colors of images on my wide gamut monitor.
Images from the other browsers like Chrome and even the latest Internet Explorer v.9 look horrible on a wide gamut monitor.
For those who don't know much about wide gamut monitors, they display about 100% of the NTSC gamut which represent the visible spectrum while standard gamut monitors display about 70% or less. However even most of the image content has been encoded in sRGB which is also about 70% of NTSC, the standard monitor's color space in reality doesn't actually fit the sRGB color space while wide gamut monitor cover it completely which allows color managed programs to display images in its full color capacity. For example all camera manufacturers create complex algorithms that save images in the ideal sRGB color space which can be only displayed in full on a wide gamut monitor by using color managed programs. On the other hand images from non color managed programs like Internet Explorer and Google Chrome look worse on a wide gamut monitor appearing over saturated. The monitor market is shifting towards wide gamut monitors and soon the standard gamut like crt monitors will be history. Google and Microsoft are far behind the times in this respect.

    Chrome.

I was a long, long time user of IE well into when friends were pushing FireFox on me. Eventually I made the switch to FireFox and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. However, a few months ago I made the switch to Chrome and it feels good - damn good! Gone are the memory leaks and YouTube/Justin.TV streams flawlessly whereas I had occasional jitters with FireFox. Plus, if my PC crashes or I lose power, when I go to open Chrome again all of my tabs are restored in order.

    I mostly use Firefox.
I like Safari very much but don't use it that often.

And, for unexplainable reasons, I just hate Chrome.
