    transferring .co domains

    hi,

I want to transfer one .co domain to my reselerclub acount.I asked
auto code from my current registrar.they said they can`t give me auto code! and I must use domain password for transferring.I did it but failed due to Invalid authorization code.

I don`t know why my current registrar doesn`t give me an auto code?
I don`t know what is their problem.

I think you should discuss with reselerclub regarding your problem. They can give you an alternate solution to transfer domain name.

I will ask reselerclub about finding a solution...

Sponsoring Registrar of my domain is TUCOWS

I want to know other registrars of TUCOWS have this issue
or only my registrar have it?

    Hello,

Here is the policy of .CO registry:

"To transfer your domain name to another registrar, you will need an Auth-Code – or domain password for verification and security purposes. Please contact your registrar to begin a transfer request and receive current registrar transfer policies. .CO Internet does not issue or confirm Auth-Codes for registered .CO domain names.

There are some policies to keep in mind as you contact your registrar to begin the transfer process. Please also contact your registrar or reseller directly for any additional policies.

    1. Transfers are not permitted within the first 60 days of registration
    2. Transfers are not permitted within 60 days of a previous transfer
    3. Successful transfers will result in a one-year domain name renewal registration"

Since the .co domain name do not require EPP/Authorization code you will need to contact the gaining domain name registrar in order to get assistance with your transfer.

my registrar sent me an auto-code by email!!

I submitted the code to resellerclub...waiting for approving .

mustn`t we produce auto -code ourself with their panel secretly ?

    I wonder.

    Hi,

Since the .co registry do not issue the Authorization code it is technically impossible for any domain name registrar to issue it through your domain name control panel. You can even enter the random 9-16 symbols and the the code will be valid for the domain names that do not require EPP/Authorization code.

As I know such domain names are: .tv, .co, .uk, etc.

    I wonder.

I suppose you aware that transfers take some time and in this situation you have nothing to do but wait.
