Well, for me Google is the best. Google provides better information that we look for.

Do you mean submit to directories? as you don't necessarily submit to search engines, you rank in search engines, and its that rank you should try to improve.

There is no need to submit your website on search engines. Let them find your website automatically. You should focus more on developing content for your website. And if you want faster crawling of your website pages, create an XML sitemp and submit it to GWT

Google.com, yahoo.com and MSN or Bing are the best search engines for submit websites. However, it is not required seo activity.

The three engines mentioned are nowadays used by millions of shoppers as well as business managers worldwide everyday but there is one issue regarding the question asked and that is you no longer need to use manual submissions these days. A lot of websites can be found that are indexed and crawled by search engines robots simply because of their links stats or RSS feeds which are distributed across the net, picked by web engines.

After registering a new domain name, try verifying its status through using Google Webmaster Tools panel as in that case even with no links, Google will learn of your new web presence online. The next step would be addition of fresh contents plus a few links from resources which are accessed often by Googlebot and after a few days or weeks, you will be able to find your website indexed online, without having used submissions.

Google, Yahoo and Bing are enough. Most other search engines use these engines and fetch data from them.

Top search engines (www.google.com, www.bing.com, etc) automatically find your website. There is no need to submit your website on search engines.
