script to calculate bw data
having centos, i want to know how much data consumes per day so i can monitor my bw allotment. Mrtg only shows the graph of the speed. So i dont really know how much data my server consumers per day/month
so was wondering do anyone know a script that report amount of data per day
Install vnstat on your server. You can do that by simply typing the command below. If you get an error, then the repo hasn't been installed and it will be easier to just install vnstat rpm.
yum install vsnstat
Apache can log bandwidth usage. also you could install awstats or someother bandwidth collection tool.
Ditto to that. You can add "vnStat PHP frontend" to it as well.

You can monitor your bandwidth through Nagios, where in you can check bandwidth of per day.
