Questions about VPS Servers before I buy one.

I was wondering if I buy a VPS server, with good ram and resources, if I would be able to run Counterstrike server(s) off of it? If so, what would be the minimum kind of VPS I would need to purchase to hold a few game servers? I am asking this because I run a clan and would like to have a small private server for scrimming, and a few public servers of about 20 slots for the pubs and 11 slots for the private. Please if anyone can answer this, please help me out. I just need as much information about this before I buy one. I hate to have to order a box and pay all that money out, just to host 3 small servers.
    Thanks for any help!

I am not a hosting guru but I don't think I would run a CS game on a VPS. Your FPS will be affected by others on the node, I'd imagine.

tentative yes. if you had a VPS at something like nuclearfallout there shouldn't be issues running a cs(s) server.

if you want to run it on a 128mb $3/month special, keep dreaming.

Depends on the host I guess

I know we have an array of games on our simple 128MB plans. I've seen halflife, CS, UT2k4 and even tiny minecraft servers.

We've had no complaints from them, even the minecraft's.

We've had 0 complaints from any of them and they have been running the servers for a while now.

That doesn't mean a simple 128MB is going to run a 1000 tick CS but for their needs it works.

Yes, you can certainly run CS in a VPS, we have some customers from Romania who use VPSes with us for this purpose. For a CS server the CPU performance is most important. It doesn't need to touch the disk while in a game, only on map changes. So a mail server on the same node would not cause problems for the CS server.

Yes it is possible. But it varys from how, and what CS server you want to offer, how many members you want on it, and so-on.

We have a few clients running on our managed brand and our un-managed brand varying from each client to there requirements they selected a plan and we don't get no complaints and they seem to run well and have a very great service.

What are your requirements of the GS? We can direct you into what kinda VPS to go with.

Also do you have a location you need to have this hosted in? Budget?
