    Thumbs up Idea for Burstnet

Cloud computing exists, but why not to sell a failover package, a pre-construction solution, with two VPS in different locations?

Presently cloud computing is not cheap. I think big Data Center like Burstnet with several locations in EE UU and one in Europe can prepare a failover package with VPS's for good price and in its classical format: a lot of hard disk space and a lot of ram.

Perhaps was I am telling is nonsense or very difficult to do it technically, but I am sure a lot of people would love to have an option like this.

    Regards.

They seem more focused on the budget market than such enterprise-esque features.
If you require such failover capabilities, perhaps you should explore other providers that are more experienced and targeted at such a market.

Awww, don't put the dampners on the idea yet.

"CloudBurst" has such a nice ring to it

i was thinking of backing up my burstnet vps with another provider in another country, but i can't really think of the best way to do it.

i guess you could do an rsync once an hour or every few hours.

i don't fancy anything like a clustered filesystem, that would be mega slow across continents.

you'd still have to manually swap dns around when the primary vps goes down.

if your site is static enough, you could just use round-robin-dns, not much use for email/database servers though.
