Definitely Xen. Memory management is better, and it behaves more like a dedicated server.

No problem Not everyone here has Anglais as their first language
So you want to sell VPS's ?
If you are new, get SolusVM and select OpenVZ, just make sure not to overLoad the server and monitor the server and get rid of abusers
You can choose XEN. provides each customer dedicated resources Great for Games and other apps that requires high resources.
But you might require external support (tech) to set up kernels and keep the system up to date.
Who are you target customer base? Gamers ? High-end hosting ? Low-end budget hosting ?

I'd go for openvz. For private use I like to go with xenserver.

It will require a solid budget to get started with XEN but it will provide best performance for games and VPS hosting
Some will argue OpenVZ is also solid and provides great performance but you will need to monitor and manage it properly and remove abusers
You could also start out as a reseller of other VPS company like BurstNET or ThrustVPS who offers great discounts
Offer OpenVZ with BurstNET and XEN with ThrustVPS
Note that I am not affiliated with nor do I endorse any of them
Good luck

Xen is the way to go; far more flexibility than OpenVZ.

OpenVZ is least expensive for the hoster (i.e., you) if you only offer linux hosting - less problems, better speed, better resource sharing, etc. OpenVZ tends to be massively oversold on hosts - that gives bad impression of it to most people. If you do not oversell, OpenVZ is faster that Xen. You *will* need slight memory adjustments for OpenVZ machines due to its unconventional memory accounting, which leads to VMs *reporting* (not actually using, but reporting) higher memory usage that Xen counterparts, but that's another discussion.
For Xen, however, there is a possibility to run any OS, not just Linux - that's why many hosters provide both OpenVZ and Xen. I would advise against Xen at all and suggest using KVM if you need other OS, but this discussion is well outside the scope of this topic.

Openvz is good unless you need little more control over kernel.

I think you need a bit more than that to stay competitive in this industry.
From a consumer's point of view, unless there's a need for custom kernels and running java, OpenVZ is a great choice. XEN tends to sell better due to the belief that it cannot be oversold, however, it can.
Ultimately, it comes down to the provider and how well service and performance is, relative to price. As HUGOBLUE mentioned, it helps targeting a niche or a unique way of pitching yourself and your business.

I personally prefer xen, but openvz is more popular as you can get more users on each node more easily.
