I found BQBackup to be more reliable uptime/performance wise.

What are you going to backup shared/reseller or vps/dedicated?
Ask for Server IP & Nameservers IP to check if your reseller provider truly provides 100% white-label.

It doesn't get any cheaper than BQBackup, go any lower and you'll get slow data transfer speeds, poor uptime, etc.

VPSs are not meant to be used for backing up data. And as a lot of providers allow torrent, IRC/overload their nodes like crazy it's another reason not to use a VPS for backups.

Offsite Backup accounts are dedicated to backing up data only.

    Totally upto you though.

If I understand you correctly you want to backup your VPS?

If that's the case the most recommended provider that I noticed here is Bqbackup and Webbycart.

Meh, their prices are still high (I don't blame them)

    2TB - $150/month (Order Now)

Not to say FDC is any good, but you can get a FDC Server for $49/month, and throw in a 2GB drive for a one time fee of $150 or $200...

there is a promotion to double up the size.. 15GB for 4.99 per month.. with the coupon, i can get 30GB for 4.99 per month (it requires a year sign up but gives 2 months free). not a bad deal.. it's just a backup..

I've used both rsyncpalace and BQBackup personally, and I'd definitely recommend BQBackup by far. It's worth every penny, and at the end of the day, you shouldn't be sacrificing quality for price.

I had RSyncPalace as my backup provider for a few months at one point, due to the low price point, and the low budget I was given to work with. Unfortunately, I ran into multiple cases where they would over-allocate the space provided in the plan, (i.e. only having 1TB of capacity, selling 5TB worth of capacity out), which ran into cases where a backup would fail due to lack of disk space. This was happening on a weekly basis, and was only resolved after filing a ticket each time. In the end, I ended up killing the account and convincing those I was dealing with at the time to migrate to BQBackup. During the time I dealt with them, they were quite professional, and were well worth the price. Overselling space on a website is one thing, but when you oversell backup space, you're playing with fire, and with customers who will not be thinking rationally when you inform them the backup they've been making daily is 3 weeks old because of space issues.

    Avoid rsyncpalace

I have an account with them and their service support is very poor. Otto only replies when you are interested in buying or renewing but ignores existing clients with queries.
