how to cancel paypal payment going out ?

We had signed up for a server with server4you few months back and now we decided to give it a call as our project was done with.

Created a ticket to them around 24hours ago and I didn't get a reply. Our invoice date is 11th, today saturday is 9th and sunday is 10th so I highly doubt if they would take an action rather auto-bill my friend's paypal account

I don't know how the server4you - paypal payment system works.

I am not sure if they create a subscription as they seem to take money from the paypal account how much ever they want automatically(of course for the services we signed up).

how can I stop payments been sent to server4you ? I am not thinking of asking my friend to change his paypal email - as he is using it for various other purposes.

    desperate help needed.

Under your paypal profile there's a section called "my subscriptions" or something like that. You can cancel any billing agreement there.

Here is what I got from Paypal:

How do I cancel a recurring payment, subscription, or automatic billing agreement I have with a merchant?

    Question :
    Answer :

We’re introducing a new and improved Profile to some customers. Until all customers are using the new Profile, there are 2 sets of instructions on how to do this. Please follow the instructions that match what you see on the site.

    1. Log in to your PayPal account.
    2. Click Profile near the top of the page.
    3. Click My Preapproved Payments in the Financial Information column. (Don’t see this step? Follow the instructions below.)
    4. Click View the Agreement next to the merchant agreement you want to cancel.
    5. Click Cancel or Cancel automatic billing and follow the instructions.

    Or

    1. Log in to your PayPal account.
    2. Click Profile near the top of the page.
    3. Click My money.
    4. Click Update in the My preapproved payments section.
    5. Click Cancel or Cancel automatic billing and follow the instructions.

If you don’t have a PayPal account, you should contact the merchant directly to cancel the agreement. If you can’t contact the merchant, you should contact PayPal Customer Service by phone. Here’s how:

    1. Go to the PayPal website.
    2. Click Contact Us at the bottom of any page.
    3. Click Call Us, then click Continue for our Customer Service phone number.

Please note that after canceling a payment, subscription, or automatic billing agreement, you are still required to pay the merchant for the goods or services you received.

You can cancel the subscription by logging into your account. The account is usually debited on the due date only.
