No? Sounds really weird, I've been with tons of hosting providers and I always let my friends have a sub domain with full FTP and what not. Really weird. Read their TOS see if there's anything in it that might say something about the suspend?

That is something that I find very odd indeed. I would love to hear the reasoning your host has behind suspending for this reason. If this is something that is not directly in their TOS, then you certainly have a valid reason to question their actions.

I haven't encountered something like that. Have you asked the support about it? Care to share what's their reason on suspending your account because of allowing others to access your account? Maybe they're thinking as if someone is going to hack it.

haven't got a reply yet. someone actually bought my addon site so i gave him the ftp details of this addon site. after a day, the whole account is actually unavailable.

and when viewing my site, it redirects me to a page mysite.com/cgi***/suspendedpage***

Could it be that figured out you sold that space? Might be that they don't like that if you don't have a reseller account? hmm most unlikely though. Really interested in the answer they might give you about this

Could be a attack performed in that sub-directory?

Do you directly know the person who paid for it? i.e. Family or Friend?

Hmm now when you mention that iwebhost, could it be some malicious code that were uploaded as well? Maybe OP should try to get in touch with the provider so they can give him an answer.

i'm not sure. a lawyer bought my addon site and since he don't know what to do actually so i gave him access to the ftp and let him downbload the wp-content himself.

i'm still waiting for thier responce though.

Well you aren't supposed to resell space off of your Shared hosting account. That's what Reseller hosting accounts are for. Not so bad if they're not paying for the FTP account. It's just when you charge them for it. Most hosts would prefer you to use a Reseller hosting account instead.

Yes. Who is the provider? It was probably mentioned in their Terms.

Some company do have such AUP clause, obviously letting someone access your account is a possible security breach has they can use your account in your name to fraud, spam, ect.. as a result of you penalized and charged for action done on/via your account.

Yes you need to ask your host what was actual issue. becos as a addon or ftp access not seems an suspend reason.
