Good luck with it. It might not be expensive but don't forget you get what you pay for and in serverpronto's case you get what you pay for and then some. Keep an eye our for early billing and double charges because they will begin soon.
By the way, I am pretty sure its a good idea to hold your reviews until you have used a company more than a few days.
I know. But $5 is a good deal for a test server and if they ever try to overcharge you and don't refund, you always have ability to chargeback. There is minimal risk to order this server for testing. They are probably hoping people put mission critical sites on there and they will be forced to upgrade to a higher priced plan down the road.
I read in another thread that somebody chargeback 30 times on the 30 double billings, isn't that like $600 in chargeback fee that they have to pay? If 10 of us here do that, they'll be out $6000. Maybe that will give them a hint to stop ripping people off.
To be fair, I think if we isolate their billing and customer service problems from others mentioned (so far so good), their network and server performance is still quite ok.
I will update you guys later with uptime I find out from them.
For their prices of the delicated servers (not just the $5 promo server, other servers are still cheap), I think they can not afford customers buging them questions and requests so anything like that I prepare it could result a charge.
I am the new customer service manager of ServerPronto (Infolink) and it is my duty to resolve customer complaints submitted on online channels such as the WHT website. I am aware of the time gap of this complaint and even if this issue has already been resolved, I take it as my responsibility to reply to this complaint on the WHT forum.
If you would like to initiate further investigations on this case or get in contact with our executive team, please feel free to reply to this response or contact us at [email protected].
Again, we are aware of the time gap of this complaint and yes we are serious. If there is anything we can do now to resolve this issue at this late point, we are willing to make the effort and look into this case again.
... are you serious? This thread will be 8 months old in 8 days.
Still pretty reasonable, their side of the story was never posted and anyone who comes here in the future will think lesser of them without a response. By posting, in a way they are pretty much clearing their name and doing PR cleanup.
