Hello, what language(s) are involved to turn an email into a database? Basically like hostgator, when you email them at [email protected], that email will be inserted into their helpdesk system automatically. Is there a script that I can see that does this, or a tutorial on how to do it?
It's called email piping, where you feed an email into a PHP script that does the processing. Search for "php email piping" there are quite a few tutorials.

What hostgator does is a feature of the client manage system they are using.. Like many other hosting companies use WHMCS or HostBill to manage ordering & client support, these web applications have inbuilt system to do the email piping..
But like others said.. just search it on the internet if you are looking to do this from scratch.. Else if you want to use a support ticket system like I explained, then you can go for HostBill or WHMCS
