    Hello,

Sorry to hear about your issues how ever I'm sure next time you will learn to take your own back ups as well even though your host offers them just in case something like this comes up.

    backup is very Important
    I just can not think
Pacifichost's two ways to backup fail
    this is very sad

Its very unlikely both backup fail, unless they save all the backup copies in the same place (probably local server)
I would recommend to check with your new hosting provider which kind of backup do they have and if the backup copies are saved off the server or off site.
    Good luck !

60G is a large amount of data to restore but if you have the two mentioned methods I can not see why it is not possible to restore your data. R1Soft will have also have a number of file restore points to choose from on the backup device. Are you sure PacificHost backup VPS clients data?

    Everything they say
I can not determine whether they really have a backup
In fact, this is the purpose of this article
    Code:
raid fail is Apr 03 2011
    where is Apr 02 2011 R1soft backups
    Code:
The backup was underway however when the server crashed it caused the backups to stop.
The initial backup failed when the server crashed so we don't have any of the backup data available unfortunately.
    Code:
    R1soft is daily backup
it should have Apr 02 backup
    when server not crashed
    so
you mean R1soft is not daily backup
because you don't have Apr 02 backup
    Code:
I am sorry there is only so many ways I can tell you that a backup is not available,
the initial backup was underway and it failed when the server crashed,
there is no April 2nd backup available because the initial backup failed.
    Code:
is there no way can save back
    Code:
We can offer you a month of service for free as a result.
We are setting up a new backup server to prevent this from occuring again.
We are trying every method we can to recover the data however we have not had any success yet.
I am sincerely sorry for the problem.

In the terms it states weekly vps backup,

We perform weekly backups for all VPS Hosting clients who signed up on or after July 1st, 2010. Customers on our Dedicated Hosting services are responsible for arranging their own backups. PacificHost does not perform backups of Dedicated Servers.

Also not happy with these guys - am looking at moving on after only a few weeks. Just far to many drop outs. Down time today (according to pingdom) is 95 minutes... need I say more.
