    Talking 100TB.com 15 months review

    I've used 100TB.com servers for almost 15 months (from 2010.01 to 2011.04), I have three servers with them, two in Dallas and one in Seattle, all in Softlayer Datacenter.

    I bought two servers from a reseller in 100TB (If you bought 10 servers or more, you can be their reseller), the price is pretty good, and after I bought the 3rd server, I asked and transferred all servers to my account (100TB will help you do this if you emailed sales department).

    All of my reviews and servers are US servers, I didn't try any UK servers.

    1. Network

    And one of my server use 10TB+ bandwitdh per month, I don't have a website which has 100TB bandwidth so I don't know if anyone can use 100TB Bandwidth

    Zero downtime because of Softlayer Datacenter's good network, and I never restart my server unless of some linux updates

    2. Price

    Good, absolutely good, you can't find any price with the network and bandwidth.

    3. Service

    Because they are partner with Softlayer (for US servers only), so some issues can't be soloved quickly, for example, if you'd like to add IPs, configure network, you contact them, they would contact softlayer, so you know...

    And you can get unlimited comodo ssl certificates in their pancel, that's cool!

    4. Support

    Sales email replied slow, support tickets replied within 3 hours. If you'd like to email sales, I recommend you PM or Email Thomas ([email protected]) in WHT, he replied more quickly

    For support, if you don't buy managed service, you should slove all problems yourself. But for some easy issues (IP changed & added, network configuration), they will help you do that.

    So if you have large traffic website, image hosting, file hosting, 100TB.com is a choice for you.

    I have never waiting over an hr for support ticket, usually 15mins. Sales is little slow but support is blazing fast. Definitely ★★★★★ should be given there.

    Because I'm in China, when it's daytime in China it is midnight in Europe, so the support would be slow for me. But it doesn't matter

    I agree with OP support is a bit slow sometimes especially something they can't fix that needs SL to look into. other than that no complaint for a long time now.

    yes, i like the price as well.

    but to be honestly, their support seem really slow, sometime it took 3-4 hours to solve the problem.

    if they can solve the support tech, i think anyone will give their support A++

    as their server really stable

    Time zone has no relevance as far as technical support is concerned, if is 24/7.

    Support is terrible. I used them and when my first issue arose, I wasn't able to get anyone from dedicated support on the phone for 7 hours. I waited on hold for 3 hours straight.

    You will regret moving to 100tb or any uk2 dedicated host, I know I did. As soon as your first problem arises, you will see what I'm talking about. I understand that issues happen, hardware fails, but communication is key when it comes to downtime. If I can't speak to someone that has access to my ticket, than whats the point of phone support?

    That sounds pretty isolated - today/this week/this month we had lots of calls (we monitor them quite heavily) etc all without problems so could you please send me your 100TB client ID to [email protected] and I will get it looked into and resolved?

    They look like an awesome provider, the only thing that held me back was only 32 IP's per server which is no good for vps's nodes. Still nice review

    Do you mean that you can get discount if you have 10 or more servers with 100TB? How much discount do you get for example off the $201.15 server?

    I can just say that with the discount, I only pay for under $200 for X3220 plan, and you can see some resellers sell dedicated 1Gbps bandwidth for under $500

    To honestly.

    the support is quite good now.

    but it seem they have few level for the support.

    they have L1 , for only checking simple task, e.g ip null route.

    these few week...their support is very fast for that. ( let say max 10 mins ), but only for null route etc.

    if you have server problem, like may be hardware etc...they will forward to another department, like admin maybe.

    admin usually take 30 mins - 1 hour...( keep in mind, the time only for their tech to respond, not the one they are going to contact softlayer )

    to be honestly, for that price, it seem cool. and their server very stable, of course, if you have few servers, you will not able to see how good is the server, but so far. we never have hardware fail, but sometime we faced hdd having bad sector, it is not always, just 2-3 times.

    i think this is acceptable
