    Cisco 3548-XL-EN Replacement

    What is the current equivalent to the Cisco 3548-XL-EN ?

    Cisco actually provides that information in their EOS announcement:

    With that said, even the 2950 and 3550 models that they mention are old. The most modern equivalents would be the 2960 and 3560 series.

    I would also suggest a 2960 series as a replacement, the 3560 only if you need IP routing or such.

    The question is more along the lines of why wouldn't the 3548 or the 2950T meet your needs. For most purposes the 3548's and 2950's meet all the needs for 10/100 speeds.
