cPanel remote backup with rsync
Hi, I want to perform rsync backups with cPanel and send these backups to a server that I have in a private switch (through a second network card)
How should I configure cPanel and iptables to send backups to that server?
Why not setup NFS services on the backup destination and mount the directory on your cpanel server?
Either way you would simply use the backend/private ip of the backup server which should automatically use the other NIC if things are setup correctly.
I want perform exactly that, but I need help.

Do read and test things otherwise hire someone to do this for you.
on the backup server
install nfs and dependancies
start portmap & nfs
on the cpanel server
install nfs-util and dependencies(portmap)
edit /etc/fstab, add entry for the nfs mount
mount the nfs share
point cpanel backups to the mount dir
I did what you indicate, the problem I encounter now is how to make the cPanel server send backups through the private network. Right now I can only do so through the public IPs.
