Whats the best eCommerce CMS to work with?
I just tried out Magento on one of my sites and because I know nothing of css and html its pretty hard to use, I kept having trouble to make it do what I want but they do have a active support forum which is good. Is there any other ecommerce options out there? That is user friendly and has a great bunch theme collections? Since I don't know codes I would like to purchase a theme, slap it on there, do little maintenance and be ready to go.
I'm not running a multi million dollar business, I have done my business locally for couple years now so I have customers ready but just need to build a website to start bringing some extra cash.
Before anyone says wordpress+shopping cart, do any of you know if you can add your own payment processor? I'll be using a offshore merchant account for my business so the shopping cart needs to be easily integrated.Last edited by pk7677; 04-03-2011 at 02:45 PM.

If you want a CMS with ecommerce functionality, you probably want Joomla with Virtuemart.
If you want just ecommerce functionality, I would suggest Pinnacle Cart or X-cart. Neither of them have loads of templates though.

Opencart has one of the cleanest interfaces, and extremely easy to set up.

We have used Lemonstand App for some e-commerce projects. We really like it, it is quite powerful, but much easier to use for both the developer and the enduser. If you are running a really small shop, there is some e-commerce addons for wordpress.
