I just tried out Magento on one of my sites and because I know nothing of css and html its pretty hard to use, I kept having trouble to make it do what I want but they do have a active support forum which is good. Is there any other ecommerce options out there? That is user friendly and has a great bunch theme collections? Since I don't know codes I would like to purchase a theme, slap it on there, do little maintenance and be ready to go.
I'm not running a multi million dollar business, I have done my business locally for couple years now so I have customers ready but just need to build a website to start bringing some extra cash.
Before anyone says wordpress+shopping cart, do any of you know if you can add your own payment processor? I'll be using a offshore merchant account for my business so the shopping cart needs to be easily integrated.
If you want a CMS with ecommerce functionality, you probably want Joomla with Virtuemart.
If you want just ecommerce functionality, I would suggest Pinnacle Cart or X-cart. Neither of them have loads of templates though.
Magento is the best eCommerce CMS to work with.Magento themes are perfect in colorful, smart, highly configurable and flexible.Magento Themes come with the popular integrated theme which makes it easy to adjust and to add new functionality.
If you ask me, I heard heard many good things about OS Commerce shopping cart.. it can be a good option for running of your web sites..
The majority likes Magento commerce - so it can be good solution.
We have used Lemonstand App for some e-commerce projects. We really like it, it is quite powerful, but much easier to use for both the developer and the enduser. If you are running a really small shop, there is some e-commerce addons for wordpress.
