You would have to configure whatever application is accepting the uploads to store them on it -- assuming the second hard drive isn't in a RAID 1 configuration with the first one.

    they replyed me by this

Unfortunately it is beyond our scope of support to help you start using the 2nd hard-drive however if you search the cPanel forums or Google you should be able to find something useful.

You really need to first find out if the drive is partitioned, formatted and mounted already. If not you will need to do this yourself. If so then just configure the application to start putting data on it. If its not partitioned formatted and mounted and you are using linux os then i would recommend googling for fdisk linux, then mk2fs linux , then mount hard drive in linux .

the 2nd HDD is just like a folder when you use your ftp software. it may be named /backup

try looking for a folder that has 500GB size and that's your 2nd HDD.

    Type:

    Code:
    ls /dev/sd*
One of those should be your second drive.

    Code:
    cat /etc/mtab
The drive in this list will be the one that's already mounted, so mount the other one:

    Code:
    mkdir /mnt/backup
    mount /dev/sdXY /mnt/backup

    I did it !!

I can see now afolder im my ftp contains the 2nd hard files

but now I am facing problem uploading to this folder this message came

    Unable to transfer.
This is most likely due to insufficient permissions. Verify both the destination path and permissions, then try again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator or hosting provider.

    so please help
