    * Wordpress at Damn Slow Speed

    Hi,
I have a wordpress blog and from couple of days, it is running at damn slow speed.
I disabled all plugins but the same situation.
I changed the design, but still, no solution.
I hold one more blog on my server which is running smoothly.
I have 2mbps internet connection and it takes around 45 seconds to load.
What to do ? What is the root cause of this problem ?

Sorry if I have posted this in wrong category

Have you made any recent modifications to the blog? Are you able to tell us which blog it is so we can see if it is loading slow for us?

Sometimes certain design techniques can cause things to load slowly. If you're preloading images for a carousel, that could cause issues. Or something I've seen pretty regularly is people using downloadable fonts via @fontface, which can cause severe lag if you don't optimize your font files.

We won't know for sure until we see the site, as Jamie mensioned...

Have you tried a different browser? Do a trace route and post it here. Hopefully we'll see where it is getting stuck.

Loaded up fast for me too.

Do you have anything connecting externally to the page, such as remotely hosted javascript libraries or images? If you do, it's possible you triggered a remote firewall somehow, stopping an external file from loading, which would cause the entire site to slowly when you connect over your IP.

It's a longshot, but I've seen it happen before...

There is no drop in trace router however it took more time.

A couple other things you could try:

Upload a static HTML page (not a wordpress page) and see if you still struggle to connect.

Try loading a different page on your wordpress installation rather than the homepage, and see if that takes as long.

I'm all out of ideas, to be honest. This just sounds like an specific to your connection or machine (although that wouldn't explain why your friend is having the same issue, and your other blog isn't causing an issue). Frankly, I'm not sure what would explain this problem...

Looks like that might be a problem with my ISP.
I have VPN connection under LA DC. I just surfed through it and it loaded without any issue.
Its time to call ISP guys.

It's not just 1 photo. Pingdom tools says there are 3 external objects: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/?url=se...om/&id=4311971

You're probably having connection issues to one or more of these external objects - google, prchecker, flagcounter

    Guys
On last Sunday, I took a Backup of cpanel remotely from siteautobackup and I remember site is running slow from Monday.
What would be the relation siteautobackup and blog ?
However other static websites (just html files) which are under the same username are running fine.

    I'd suggest:

    1. Remove the http://s07.flagcounter.com/count/s7m...0/pageviews=1/ image, re-test

    2. Remove the http://pr.prchecker.info/getpr.php?c...OS5jb20=&tag=2 image, re-test

    3. Could try removing Google but I've never seen Adsense cause issues like you're describing.

What Plugins do you currently have enabled? Are any cache specific?

I would really doubt that a backup has anything to do with this. What is the server load on say in the service status area when the website acts like this?
