Have you ever got bitten by Honey Bees?

    Hello Guys,

Today me and some of my friends got bitten by honey bees.
Though that was painful we were laughing our heads off seeing
each other running and getting bitten by them.

Finally everything ended up and some parts of the body swollen.

    Subhash.

We were standing at the car parking were there was a honeycomb.
Some kids were playing cricket near by, The ball hit the honeycomb and the honey bees started to bite every one around.

Every one started to run around, that was so horrible, still we were all laughing at each other like some dumb guys

I can remember stepping on a few as a kid barefoot and getting stung - not fun at all. I was swarmed by yellow jackets as a teenager - put a shovel through a seven layer nest in the ground (not knowing it was there).

Never by a honeybee, but got over 100 at the same time when I moved a partially buried pail that was hiding a hornet's nest. They chased me all the way to the lake, I dove in, swam as far as I could underwater. Looked back at where I went in and they were waiting for me to come up.
That could have been much worse.

    The pain was...memorable.

I cannot walk neer the hive or area where i know they hide,
One day we were preparing to go for an accasion and my friend was performing and there was no way she coul;d have missed, she was bitten on the check near the eye, the following morning you can picture how she was looking.
I even don't like bees nor the honey.

I've never been stung by a bee, wasp, or anything similar. I'm terrified of bees. I will walk a mile away just to avoid running into a bee. It's actually an unhealthy phobia, in my opinion.

I've never been stung by a honey bee or bumble bee. I have been stung by a wasp, yellow jacket and bald faced hornet (common in the Northeast USA).

I avoid hornets now, that sting was super painful.

My grandmother is the exact same way. We've had many laughs at her expense Poor woman!

As for the question, I've definitely had my fair share. When I was about 12 I was riding my bike around the forest behind my house. I just so happened to fly through a little cluster of wasps and 3-4 ended up down my shirt stinging me over and over. I biked home crying, screaming and ripping my clothes off. I'll never forget the look on my mothers face

The house my wife and I own backs on to a small forest. Every year we have to deal with the big fat bumble bees making nests in our garden, wasps nesting near the peaks of the roof and now more recently, wasps in the garden.

I'm not terrified or anything but those ground nests are nasty. Half the time you don't know they're around which makes for some eventful moments. My wife was stung 20+ times in her 8th month of pregnancy a few years ago because of a garden nest. Not fun.

Been bitten a lot by bees. Just wait, tomorrow the bites will itch like crazy.

Yellow Jackets are horrible though. They sting multiple times, and they actually hurt quite a bit. I had a few attack me this fall when I was chopping wood for the fire place.

StingEze works great for bee stings - stops the swelling and relieves the itch ... I've used it many times and it works.

I've been stung once. I was camping with friends and we spotted a beehive on a tree. We tried to taste some honey which went disastrously wrong and 2 friends got stung by the bees. It was indeed very painful.

I've been stung by a bee a few times, the best thing to use is baking soda and water - mix it into a paste and put it on.

Stung a few times. That's because I catch bees with my fingers. They stung me so I would let them go.

Too bad I don't see bees around anymore. I miss bees.

I also catch dragonflies and grasshoppers. That's when I was younger.

Never. Bees tend to buzz around me, but they have never landed on me or stung me. Go figure.

Yet to be stung by honey bees but had been stung by wasp and once by a catfish while wading through a pond barefoot. The catfish sting was much more painful than the wasps

I remember when I was a kid, I got stung countless times by wasps. I don't remember exactly how many now, but is was a fair few; to say the least. I used to play in and around my grandfather's old car. They were, apparently, living in the vehicle and didn't like my being in their one day... It wasn't fun.

I did got stung many times.
My father used raise honey bees.

It's actually healthy and sometimes used for therapy, but probably not more than 1 bee .

I think the one thing that was worse than a Wasp Sting, happened when I was a kid. I feel into a fire ant mound and was cover in a matter of seconds by a ton of ants. I think I ended up with over 50 bites! That was pretty bad.

I've never been bitten by a bee (didn't even know they could bite you ). I've been stung a couple of times when I was a kid (30+ years ago), but they tend to leave me alone now.

Don't mind bees when they sting you they die, so they tend to be less aggressive, or less you provoke them of course. Wasps on the other hand, seem to like stinging.
