Recently, I purchased a new PC and I had a motherboard installation CD but it has lost. Now, there is no sound in my PC. I want to install audio driver for sound. How can I know that which audio driver software will support to my new PC?
You can always take your computer apart and look for the model number of the motherboard, write it down, and then put it back together, turn it on, google for the sound driver for that specific motherboard. What OS are you running?
Normally you can find the model number of the motherboard close to the middle or under the PCI-E slots.
Use a phone light or something or a torch if its not well lighted and just search around for the model.
IF its on board sound if not just pop out the sound card and take a peak at its models. (Don't try this when its turned on though..)
Download and install this program -> http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/...-Edition.shtml it will show you the complete list of the hardware that you have including the sound card model. After that you can tell us here in this post which sound card you have and we will help you to find the driver.
