Question

Hey,
I am looking for a new dedicated server that as a nice price that I can pay, and I found whhq.net a month ago. There only $99/month with 8GB Hard Drive and there really good it seems lik to me. Does anyone have bad/good reports on whhq.net? I'm planning on emailing them this weekend and call there toll-free number to see what kind of tech-support they have. But please if you have any idea about this company reply to this message or email everycode4u@yahoo.com.

Thanks

I did a traceroute and the last hop was
ppp2-113.worldwideinet.com (216.77.10.113)

Isn't PPP the standard protocol that a dial-up server use. Perhaps this company is running off modems. It would make sense looking at the prices.

Mike, are these guys new? I only ask because there are parts to their site that are coming soon (this doesn't mean they are new but...) and if so, maybe not too many people have used them?

Are other Webmasters suffering with problems for sites hosted by whhq.net? They did an "upgrade" which has resulted in my site being offline multiple times with no sign of technical support, along with major disruptions in e-mail and other services. Is it just me? Does anyone know how to get their attention?

Are there other low cost hosting services that are reliable? Responsive tech support would be a plus, if possible.

Oct 7, means not so new and the post indicates that the unresponsiveness may not be so new either.

Secondly I can't find whhq on Cobalt's True Blue Partner site, and the image is not hyperlinked.

Thirdly, the feedback they quote could have been made up the company/person themself (trust me, a lot of companies do this).

Chicken they been around for a year. I call them every day I come home from school asking new questions about there dedicated servers and they always can answer them, and what they offer is good. I tested there tech-support this weekend. I emailed them 48 hours ago and I still don't have a reply then I called there toll-free number and there answering machine came up and I left them a message to call me back when they hear me so I know how long it will take if I had a question on my dedicated server. I am thinking about signing up with whhq.net this Friday becuase they have a 48 hours free trial on the dedicated servers and if I don't like it and they have bad tech-support on that Saturday I am just going to leave and report whhq.net to host review sites becuase that makes me mad because it says that they have 24/7 montoring even on weekends.
Do you know anyone else who could do dedicated servers for under $120/month?

I have some trouble understanding how a dedicated server worth it (that mean with enough bandwidth, good system, etc) can be offered under 200$.

If you get a dedicated server to use 5 gb/month of bandwidth and 100mb of space... don't waste your time with a dedicated and get normal hosting.

In my opinion, a dedicated server worth something can't go under $300-$400, else you won't get a half decent connection or computer.

A 386 on a 56k modem wont be expensive for sure... but is it worth it?

Félix, you have a good point. If they have a lot of clients they can lower the price without lossing money and that is what I am thinking that is happening to whhq.net that is why it is so cheap in price. I finally got a reply from whhq.net Saturday may 20 at 10:05 replying how can I help you? i emailed them telling them when they get mymail so I can see how good there tech-support is. So they do work on weekends and check there mail...I'll try them out and I'll report back here telling if there good or bad.
