Development Team Source Control?
What Development Team Source Control can you all recommend? Me and my team is seperated in different region at most of our times but we have to find some cheaper solution to maintain our source.
Good to have any source control similar to VisualSVN but runs on open-source? that support .NET / JAVA.
Deployment keys, awesome code review, a ton of mature tools and IDE support for Git in general etc.
How about software that I can plug into my Linux Server and run it?
I really suggest git. Git is just amazing honestly, its cross platform and supports any language and has a gui for all operating systems, along with command line. http://github.com offers private and public (public is free) repository hosting so you can test it even before you start using it. I use git for all of my source control.
Subversion is a tried and tested version control system that is open source and has a large number of clients. Netbeans has one built in (invade you're using that for your java dev).
I use tortoiseSVN under windows and the command line client under Linux.
Look at the CollabNet Subversion package. It installs easily and works out of the box. Most IDEs should have plugins to work with SVN.
Or even "incase you're using..." Mental note: be careful when posting via a phone. :|

Dropbox and GitHub is what my developers choose to use and it works very well for us.
git or mercurial are excellent choices. Using mercurial on most stuff right now though could switch to git tomorrow with minimal change on how I do things.
