Exclamation Inbound Unmetered ?? what is it ?

    Hello

1,000gb / mo outbound on 100mbps port (inbound unmetered)

can you please explain to me the bolded text above , what does inbound and outbound thing mean ?

as I understood before that 100mb unmetered equal to 30,000 GB so can the visitors download a total of 30,000 gb from my site ? is that called inbound ??

    thanks

    Hello,

In simple way: Outbound - when user download data FROM you. Inbound - when user upload data TO you.

That's the simple way to explain.

thank you, in that case the offer above sucks because I won't need 30TB in uploading

Everything depends on your needs . This useful when you need faster uploud speed then download or vice versa.

If you offer a backup service, that offer may be tempting because the need for high incoming transfer usage is a must. On the other side, backup services usually just collect files from other web servers so the need for outgoing transfer usually is very low.
