    One question

    Is this normal for vps?

    First

    [[email protected] styles]$ dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/output.img bs=8k count=256k

    262144+0 records in
    262144+0 records out
    2147483648 bytes (2.1 GB) copied, 99.0596 seconds, 21.7 MB/s

    and secound

    [[email protected] styles]$ dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/output.img bs=8k count=256k
    262144+0 records in
    262144+0 records out
    2147483648 bytes (2.1 GB) copied, 109.778 seconds, 19.6 MB/s


    And is it possible that my web page slow to open because of this?
    i think this is realy slow ... Thx for answering...

    It would be normal for maybe a budget VPS. It could be a result of many things. If you are on an OpenVZ based platform, you might be on an "oversold" server.. meaning - too many VPSs/users for the server to keep up with I/O.

    It could also mean your provider is using just one or two drives as opposed to 4 or more drives in a RAID 10 configuration. It may also be the choice of RAID card/controller installed. Some are faster than others and offer better quality.

    With a rate that low, it could make a difference in your website opening quickly or not. There are other factors to that as well, I'm afraid. But over all, I'd consider that to be relatively slow/low.

    Keep in mind the tests you ran and the tests ran in the above mentioned thread are all just samples at a point in time. It really isn't an accurate test to determine the standard rate of i/o for your VPS.

    Now i got respond to my support ticket, and this is issues with my vps provider. I don't think it's oversoled coz this is really good company with a lot of really good review here

    So i will just wait to fix this... Thx for answer
