    Need advice on object caching

I decided to install an opcode cacher earlier.
I initially decided on XCache, but it occasionally gave 503s whenever it felt like it.

Since APC doesn't work with litespeed, I decided on using eAccelerator.

As I understand, the 0.9.6 branch of eaccelerator doesn't have user caching, so I can't use any caching plugins.

    The 0.9.5 branch does.

Does user caching (i.e. using a plugin in php software) affect the performance greatly?

If not, I can just use the 0.9.6 branch of eaccelerator, as the cache folder of the 0.9.5. branches occasionally will grow to 2GB in size (and I have to use cron to delete all of the stuff inside)

User cashing shouldn't really affect performance of your server?

Principle of a cashe is to load like-for-like scripts off the users HD and partially off server to boost loading speed. And as eaccelerator processes even faster, you like getting ultimate achievable speed (That's if it supports cashing !)

ah. so it shouldn't matter much whether I use the eaccelerator caching plugin (not the php extension, the actual eaccelerator caching plugin I install into wordpress/cms) for wordpress/other sites.

    Ill try that
