HP Webcam : stay away
Having been a massive fan HP for a while now, their laptops have always served me well, I am outraged to find that the windows drivers for my webcam are pathetic.
I know that losing the disk is blatently my fault, but they provide no downloadable drivers and want me to order a new disk from an external company.
Anyone else find this ridiculous?
Fortunately my fmaily has the same webcam and are bringing me the disk up when they next visit, but still...
This is a bit ridiculous, but how old is your laptop maybe that's why they have no downloads? I've never had any HP computers but most companies should have downloadable drivers for all their new products.
But, luckily you have family to help you out.
HP is a good company and also known for its best services. As Andrew Vu said each company should have download facility for their drivers. If your laptop is too old then it is possible.
yes am facing the same problem. Have to search for almost all disk drivers from my friends family and net
Its a standalone webcam, not integrated. Its about 6 months old, and cost £25.
There are several sites that offers downloadable drivers for any hardware device. Just mention the brand, model number and you get the drivers. You should try those too.
I have googled the model number, its just that i dont trust most websites when it comes to drivers... I always try and get reviews of a site, and most of the drivers are on community upload sites which are a massive no no.
I can't belive HP want me to BUY a disk instead of providing a download...
Microsoft standalone webcams are better don't need to have any disks - Plug & Play.
