    http://www.softaculous.com/docs/List...n_your_website

    Has anyone managed to get it to work?

    Updating our website with all of the apps that softaculous supports, and continues to add is a time consuming at the very least (this isn't a bad thing however, keep adding more quality scripts!). If this works / can be made to work, it would be appreciated!

    Works here, but you have to add two lines to the script as below:

    define('SOFTACULOUS', TRUE);
    include('scripts.php');

    Why did Softaculous not add the extra info at http://www.softaculous.com/docs/List...n_your_website ?

    Says exactly how to do it with Installatron http://installatron.com/faq?s=TYUDPk...AtBGGsAAAAJ#lb

    I wanted it to display like it does at http://www.softaculous.com/softwares - is that possible? I suppose we could use a wrapper, but it would display the Softaculous header and footer. Could you make page without header and footer? If not, the sample code is better than nothing.

    Cheers

    Working, excellent script. Its a real chance to accuetly show what you have installed

    I wish Installatron had something like this so that you could then show everything that is available, and then only show everything once (Like Distinct Icons).

    I just got it as well - are you using a CMS for your website that isn't allowing you to display PHP code properly?

    well his pages are .html
    so you can't insert php scripts into them

  18. #18
    Yes, using pure HTML/CSS design. No CMS or anything like that. I do have .htaccess rule so pages can be accessed without the ext like .html

    My page is at http://www.domain.com/softaculous

    <p><a href="http://www.domain.com/softaculous">Softaculous</a> is an auto installer for cPanel. Unlike other auto installers Softaculous is much faster, well designed and it installs all scripts in just ONE STEP.</p>
    <p>&bull; Huge application catalog with 194 great applications to choose from.<br />
    &bull; Demo any application before installing on to your HostXNow web space.<br />
    &bull; View user ratings for each application.<br />
    &bull; Choose from popular blogs, CMS, ecommerce and forums.<br />
    &bull; Install any application with just one-click.<br />
    &bull; Supports WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento and more.<br />
    &bull; Twice as fast and more applications then Fantastico.</p>
    <?php include("http://www.domain.com/softaculous.php"); ?>
    Just isn't booming...

    I forgot all about this thead until it was bumped. I also just sent email to Softaculous. Hopefully Alons can look in to it...

    Edit: http://www.domain.com/softaculous.php loads when accessed directly...

    Update: I tested on new cPanel account and renamed softaculous.php to softaculousimages.php and then updated softaculous.php to softaculousimages.php in html page and renamed softaculous.html to softaculous.php and now the content loads with the images.

    It's just getting everything to display in softaculous.html is the problem

  20. #20
    you could always rename all your .html's to .php and eveything would work that way

  21. #21
    I could do that, but I'm using virtual html includes to include header and footer in all of the pages. It would take too much time to rename all html pages to php, add handler in .htaccess and update html includes to php includes, etc.

    It would be good if I could just parse the one page softaculous.php as softaculous.html. I'm still looking into it.

    <offtopic>

    I see it takes awhile to load all of the png images due to there being 190+ of them. The page loading up like that doesn't really help users as it's just a load of random images with no title, description, etc.

    It would be better if Alons changed the code so the page loads like the one at http://www.softaculous.com/softwares . Much better with the different categories/additional info. Just need to remove some of the css for certain colours. The layout is fine.

    Update: got the page working now.
