Red face

Hello,

Today, May 6th 2001 marks the grand opening of Web Host Direct.

We have some great packages powered by Dual Pentium III 1 GHz processors servers.

Our web hosting starts at $8.99 per month for 50 MB of space, up to $23.99 per month for 500 MB of space.

We use CPanel for our control panel too.

For our grand opening, we have decided to leave the setup fees off of all accounts for the time being. Not sure how long this will last.

We will have dedicated servers (including Cobalt RaQs) coming soon too. (email me if you are interested in some info).

thank you for your time.

Why isn't your oder form secure? I wouldn't want to put my CreditCard in there!

The Credit Card processing is done with ReveCom {www.revecom.com}, so yes it is secure. The order form just where you put your order in isn't as we didn't see a reason for it to be.

sorry about all the confusion.

How are you passing the payment information from your form to Revcom. I know Revcom gives you a order form as well which is secure. That's where the credit card information can be entered. I'm just currious.

it doesn't.

The information is not passed from my script to Revecom's.

The form I have is linked to a WebHostManager and MySQL database which makes it store the info for the domain, etc.

When I create the site, I just go see how the payment was and if it is credit card then I go to Revecom and check and see if it went through.. at that point, I go in to the script and approve the site to setup..

that is how it works. it isn't passed from you to the other..

even though it can be done and I think I know how to do it. just didn't want to test with Revecom too much.

hehe.

any more questions?

Well one more. Wouldn't it be better to have them go directory to the Revcom site where it's secure to have them put in payment information or you rather get that information as well. Some people may feel better knowing that their trasaction is more secure. I guess you're doing this in the background. Generally, Revcom gives you a direct link to their site so you can choose your payments. Just a thought.

Never mind, I see what you're doing. That looks fine. That was what I was suggesting. Your clients should feel fine about that!

Yes, at this time the order process is good. We are however considering scripting a better one that uses our own billing system instead of Revecom. But that will be a while as Revecom is serving its purpose for now.

thank you for your replies and questions.

If you want to talk to you a live representative, please go to www.webhostdirect.net and click on Need Help?

You may check someone in there, most likely me.
