Loking to Move from Liquid Web

    Hi,

Need some Advise and real recomendation.

I have been with Liquid web for about 2 and half years or so. Been Running a Dedicated Server and paying about about 340 dollars a month.

Im now feeling the pinch due to the business slow down and need to downgrade to a VPS or something which is powerful but can accomdate the budget.

Liquid Web provide good service but the cost is bearing on me.

I need 4 Gig or Ram, Firewall protected. Cpanel access. and Reguler backups which is important to me. Good service and support. Fast Server which can handle CREloaded easily with no slow downs.

I'd definitely consider a 4GB KnownHost Hybrid.....it'll cut your outgoings in half!

I have spoken to one of there Sales, team but they dont offer the flexibility of Backups, Liquid Web offers gurdian back up for SQL and Data. I asked there sales team which claims they do one back up every other night thats one single back up in 48 hours. I need more reguler backups.

You can always manage offsite backups yourself or use a service like http://www.bqbackup.com. WiredTree has a remote backup space as an addon.

I am sorry that you're experiencing this sort of problem. If you don't mind, would you be willing to give me your hostname or account number? I can have a member of our sales team take a look at your account and see if there is anything we can do to reduce your costs.

You should always keep your own remote backups....don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I use Webbycart for that purpose so I have complete peace of mind.

hmm yes, that could be considered, if you've good budget to get a VPS.

else you can go with some for cheap, but you need to pay extra for backup space.

    knownhost is good choice btw

If your experience with LiquidWeb has been good, you might want to consider using www.stormondemand.com

You should be able to get a 4GB server instance with CPanel and on-site backups for within your budget.

So which company do you recommend between the 2, KnownHost or Future Host.

I noticed Future host seems to present data well, like stating how many cores are given per VPS package or Hybrid package.

No, Im going to get backups on a offsite server, but also keep 12 hourly backups on same drive or secondry drive is possible.

Anyway which is better: Futurehost or Knownhost? I am looking for there hybrid server packages.

I need good solid performance, Service and Support.

We allow you to have access to the entire server's CPU so we don't mention cores since in most cases you will get more then that. You can burst all the CPU of the physical server just so your not bogging down the server for others which we actively monitor and do not allow as high performance is a core focus of ours. The only stipulation is you can't use more then 25% of the entire physical server's CPU for more then 90 seconds or we may be in contact about getting the CPU usage down. Hope this clarifies things a bit for you.

Like another user recommended, I would go with a KnownHost Hybrid server. They offer something similar to your required specifications for $160 and cPanel is only an additional $5 per month.

I would also go with a offsite back up system, just incase anything happens with your server. This costs anything around $20 per month depending on how much space your backups need. Webbycart is an example of a remote back up system you can afford.

If you still want to have a dedicated server for a lower cost, KnownHost offer a 4GB dedicated server for $230 or $209 (depending on how much you pay for setup) with cPanel included free.

Actually our DEDI-CP1 for $179 includes cPanel for free and 4 GB of RAM by default.
