Budget Dedicated Server with 16-32GB RAM

What's the cheapest place to get a server with a ton of RAM?
In this case I'm looking for BUDGET. The cheaper the better, I really don't care too much about anything else.

And yes I know you get what you pay for etc etc. This is for a client whose number one priority is price.

    Burst.net
    Fdcservers.net

The above two are known for their affordable prices.

Burst and Hetzner are very competitive budget pricing.

Burst and FDC were of course my first ideas, I'm leaning toward FDC as I already have some stuff with them.
Any other recommendations on this price level?

Sentris is another budget provider. Their network is very good, hardware is so and so, and support sucks. So its a mixed bag.

Another provider is imountain. They're primary line of business is VPS but they do sell dedis as well. You'll have to contact them to find out what their current line up is.

Edit: Just to add imountian support is very good. There only downside is that their DC is "single homed" to time warner.

Does your client care much about tech support? Managed or unmanaged?

Nope, fully unmanaged. As long as we can get to someone to do a reboot, or have remote reboot.

i personally would share my views on not to go with burst.
I am not saying they are bad.
but once any thing got disturb, you've to fix it on you own.
if you are such a good then burst.net is choice.

That should called "unmanaged" isn't ?

You need your provider to take care of "disturbs" ? fine, get the managed plan and you are good to go.

@OP, you can check WebNX too, they do custom setups with really good prices, support and else are good too, its an all-in-one deal IMO.

As ASN - Aria said, BurstNET is an unmanaged (semi-managed) provider. If something breaks or you need help with something, they are not at fault, responsible or accountable for helping out, unless of course you purchased management which doesn't seem the case.

It doesn't seem like the OP cares. Looks like he just wants a cheap server for loads of memory. Of course he probably wants a server that handels it, but it doesn't seem like it matters.

As others said, BurstNET is a good choice for affordable (and reliability) servers.

Sounds like a 12 yr old's advice. Let the OP reply to what I asked, just tons of ram alone does not make any sense.

What is your hardware exact requirements and your budget?
How much bandwidth do you need?
Where do you need the server?

I've been with BurstNET for quite awhile, as well as have some servers with JBoost (a reseller of them) - I can say firmly they've definitely provided the service for the cost. In addition, services resold through JBoost provided a much higher level of service than purchasing directly from Burst (as JBoost was always on the ball to resolve issues as fast as they could for me).

There are many other happy people with BurstNET - because their such a large company, of course there's going to be a higher ratio of complaining clients. With that said, BurstNET IS a real company, and they don't seem to get enough credit around here. How many other dedicated server providers do you know that offer budget prices and own their own data facility & staff team? It's rare these days.

Good luck with your search, OP!
