They are not even 3 months old, how did you come across them?

Also seem to be resellers of Innohosting as well, so not sure I have actually seen them around this board?

    Sparrow-Sean,

We've been around for quite some time in our local market, not under the name Noppix though. We mainly develop, launch, and maintain sites for local businesses in our area and have recently launched our hosting product online.

Edit: Yes, our sites (main, client, forum, and dev) are hosted on a reseller account with a separate provider than our clients, for whom we have a Xen VPS in LA.

How long have you been with them? Happy to hear you're pleased with their service. You can either PM the mods the domain you host with them or post it publicly for verification.

Noppix that was a super quick response! Patrolling for reviews?

No patrol here. Just watching hulu and eating PB&J relaxing. I have instant email notification on and usually subscribe to threads that interest me. Then my phone makes this really annoying noise when a reply is made, .

Edit: I guess..in a way WHT is doing the patrolling and sounding the alarm via email? lol.

missakara is not hosting with us. I simply answered some questions and provided information.

I suppose if this was read on the first line, it would of made it easier to understand whether or not the OP was hosting with Noppix

Ya, I don't have them yet I wanted to get some reviews first. My fear is paying for hosting then having a problem and not having proper help. At least they reply fast. :-)

I completely understand. I would advise you to have backups of your things. If you ever come in a situation, where you want to move, you simply do it, and leave the old company. Most companies offer moving assistance nowadays.

Ohhh that is cool. I am planning to save everything, all the html and such. Is that what the backup service is I see on all the packages?

More likely than not hosts will have a backup function within their control panel which would be like a one-click backup that would take a snapshot of all our files, databases, emails, settings, etc. You'd then be able to download this as a single package.

If the host you choose offers cPanel, you can easily take that package and give it to your new host (if for some unfortunate reason you have to move) to restore everything in one go.

Yep, cPanel has made itself the industry standard. It's very common in shared hosting environments.

So moving from a cPanel host to another cPanel host is literally as easy as downloading a single file from your current host and sending it to the new host (provided the new host is competent and willing to restore it for you). cPanel's full restore function is great and restores absolutely everything.

I agree. Although, there are a lot of hosts that offer off-server backup - automatically.

Depending on the size of the backup/restore it can be a nuisance with load values, otherwise is quite good in terms of restoring full accounts.
