How much time is needed to register nameservers with a registrar/

    Hello everybody
Today I have registered two nameservers with their IP-s, so I can connect with my dedicated server. But my question is that how much time is needed for the nameservers to be registered and domain be connected with my server properly?

    Registrar I'm using is Name.Com

    Regards

Also this note appears to me:
    "WARNING:
This domain is using services that require the name servers ns1.name.com, ns2.name.com, ns3.name.com, ns4.name.com. In order for these services to function properly, please make sure that the domain name is using only these name servers."

    I dont understand why so?

Ignore it, if you are using an external DNS. It can take up to 24 hours to become active, but keep in mind you also have to create an A-Record from each IP to the hostname.

Also make sure, when you register the nameservers, to also create A-records to point to the IPs of your dedicated server where the DNS is hosted.

It doesn't usually take that long, but allow yourself a day or so.

I should do this on my registrar? Because on Name.Com, when I go to DNS managment of the domain, it says to me this message " This domain is not properly configured to use DNS management. DNS Management will only work if the domain is using our name servers (NS1.NAME.COM, NS2.NAME.COM, NS3.NAME.COM, and NS4.NAME.COM)."

I should add their nameservers in order to change and add A-Records to point to my IPs

I suggest you run some checks:

You will only find out how good a provider is when the going gets tough

Really you think it takes longer than 24 hours usually? I would say the norm is 18-24....just my opinion and wanted to see if you were experiencing longer than 24hours

If your registrars take 18-24-48 hours to register/update/propagate authoritative name servers it is time to move on. I guess you are talking about intermediate cache name servers.
