How to make software RAID1 on CentOS?
on freeBSD, GEOM seems a good RAID1 solution
what about centOS? what method is good? how to do it an dany how to please? Do you use mobo's onboard raid function though ?

For software raid you can set it up in the installer. Just make a simple 3 partition (or more as needed) and create a raid.

Yes. If you use the partition editor you can create raids. Create a partition on each disk, then select raid and configure the raid options. I usually do this for /boot, swap, and / and it supports raid 0,1,5,6,10
This can be done on installation, manually. By default it will give you an LVM but the options are there if you review the layout.

Make sure you set your drives correctly (ahci vs ide) and also configure boot loader correctly so that you can boot if either drive fails / is replaced. Test, test, test, before deployment.

You can have issues in IDE mode with the drives having to be in a certain "order", yes ahci is suggested. Here is a basic setup doc: http://www.slideshare.net/poustchi/i...entos-5-raid-1
Check you can boot from both drives when done, otherwise google "centos software raid boot grub." While you're at it, practice the rebuild process also ( one command after adding disk).
Any experienced admin can do this for you for a fee, if you have any more specific questions I'm sure people will help here.
