Does Dell Poweredge work with third-party raid controller?

    Hi Guys,

Does anyone have the experience using the third-party raid controller in Dell Poweredge server? like LSI megaraid? Will that be possible?

If yes, could anyone suggest a model#?

    Appreciate!!

To my understanding, the Dell PERC 5 and 6 cards are actually rebranded LSI Megaraid cards.

Yes, where we add a RAID card post purchase, we use LSI/3ware.
