Question

BlueMile network

Hi,

I have a problem with bluemile network on 3 servers (screenshot http://pix.am/uB36.png ), but they told me that they don't have problem as usually support says. I know people from WHT can help me and explain who has problem.

this is my server ip 68.68.17.195 at bluemile. from my place in LA tracert works well, but from some place in CA i got this:

http://just-ping.com/index.php?vh=bluemilenetworks.com works
http://just-ping.com/index.php?vh=68.68.17.195 lost packages ;(

bluemilenetworks.com support told me:

"We are seeing no networking issues on our end. The PING traces from all over the world really don't tell us anything. Yes, there are a few cities with 100% packet loss, but there are many more that aren't having issues reaching the server. This would lead me to believe that an specific ISP is having issues reaching us. We have many circuits in/out to the internet. Let us know if packet loss continues, as of right now everything looks good on our end. "

Wizz and BlueMile still show me their traceroutes and told me - it is OK, but just-ping.com told me other. There is truth? Who's Wrong? Just-ping or BlueMile/WizzSolution?

After 2 hours I got answer from support:

"I will have our network engineers review this issue."

Place your bets, gentlemen

Your are basing all your problems off just-ping.com. Are you serious? I just pinged your server from a few of my servers and everything looks fine. Use someone reputable like pingdom.com.

From BlueMile support I got very strange answer:

We are seeing no networking issues on our end. The PING traces from all over the world really don't tell us anything. Yes, there are a few cities with 100% packet loss, but there are many more that aren't having issues reaching the server. This would lead me to believe that an specific ISP is having issues reaching us. We have many circuits in/out to the internet. Let us know if packet loss continues, as of right now everything looks good on our end.

still don't know what happened and I think, they don't know too =(

I am getting packet loss when I ping you from a Burst.net dedicated server. See if you can ping burst.net.

Yea, I know, I have palce like this:

--- 68.68.17.195 ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 3008ms

My question is who should resolve it if support told me like - our network works well. Should I crest my heart or crying and asking like pleeeeaseee BlueMile, help me?

How client working with support? I don't know how to show that problem, I've send tracerouts, screenshots... After 2 hours annoying I got mail "I will have our network engineers review this issue." but still don't know what happened

Well, see what their Network guys say. That's probably all you can really do.

After 6 hours got the answer:

Our Senior Network Engineers have thoroughly investigated our Network and see no issue that would be causing this problem. One suggestion I received was to check your firewall settings to make sure something isn't blocking you on the server itself. Our Senior Engineers will check the server in the morning when they come in and will inform you if we find any issues then.

of course my server don't have any fw and they can not explain why it works from one place, and don't work from other. Magic service ;( Looking for moving to other place, **** happiness. Thank you, BlueMile Network!

I'm actually only showing routes to him via Level3, Tinet, and AT&T.

"Some place in CA"? The traceroute you posted comes from Amsterdam, going to Liverpool, then Montréal, then Toronto, then Buffalo, then Cleveland, then Columbus, all inside Cogent's network.

californication, check your PM. Ask them to check what I suggested. Hopefully it will resolve the issue you are experiencing.
