    servers in the philippines

    hi guys,

i'm looking for dedicated servers in the philippines. my preferences are as follows, ranked highest to lowest:

    - decent hardware (e.g. not a desktop PC, something like a dell poweredge or a supermicro box)
    - KVM-IP access of some kind when needed (on-demand access is fine)
    - 4-8GB RAM
    - RAID-1 (software RAID is fine, i just don't want an HDD failure to become a crisis situation)
    - some form of english support (doesn't have to be stellar, but...)
    - bare Debian 6 install, no control panel software of any kind
    - good pingtimes to people in the philippines (good pingtimes to other APAC countries is a plus, obviously)
    - at least 4mbps 95% bandwidth (or equivalent in GB transfer)
    - 16-32 IP addresses per server

i don't really have a budget per server, but i would like to keep it below $200/mo per unit if possible.

Please check the hosting section. You should expect a higher cost per month with those specs.

I have no experience with them, but if you browse around for reviews, maybe you will find some information about web.com.ph. Their Supermicro 5015M-MT+B is quite close to what you have in mind, though at a much higher price, especially with all the IPs you want.

Are you absolutely sure that the server needs to be located in the Philippines? It's going to be quite expensive.

Yes, it needs to be in the philippines as it will be hosting latency-sensitive applications for customers in the philippines. i was thinking malaysia may be an ok alternative though.

You want 4Mbps Dedicated BW AND a server with 8Gb Ram and 16 IPs for 200$, located in the Phillipines?

yea.... not gonna happen, Tripple that budget and you have a chance - but still unlikely then.
As example: Infocom charges around 150US$ per Mbit dedicated BW....

Latency to SG and HK from Philippines is pretty good. You better host it in SG/HK, they have many reputable DC and there are many good carriers there.

I reckon Hong Kong would be a better option than Malaysia, for Philippines users

You can checkout www.web.com.ph if they can give you your requirements. You must be able to shell out at least $500 as its expensive here.

You can also try to contact these datacenters directly:

Impossible to find, even the international 3Mbit/s BW would consume your budget.

Ask for Server IP & Nameservers IP to check if your reseller provider truly provides 100% white-label.

Did you even bother to read this?

    from the site:

Web.com.ph utilizes enterprise-class rackmount servers co-located in Vitro Data Center, the premier datacenter in the Philippines.

Oh no. I'm not related with the company. Well, I used their services before and they were good.
