To the unlimited non-believers

A while back I used a company called penguin hosting for some of my web sites. All I have seen here is people flaming unlimited hosts. Well I had my penguin host account for a long time and it was nothing but excellent. I suggest you check them out if your looking for something a long those lines http://www.penguinhosting.com/

They aren't unlimited...

You just may have never gone over what they deem reasonable..

There is no such thing as unlimited....

And what's your website? How much bandwidth do you use per month?

I don't really like their web site. It loads slow, too. (I'm on cable) and this host is not Unlimited. I bet once your site goes over 7 or 10GB (or whatever their limit is) of bw - they will suspend your account.

I apologize but no business model will work if a host truly gives unlimited bandwidth. They can not buy from an unlimited source, and eventually their costs will catch up with their profits and they will have to start terminating sites which are "using too much" of their "unlimited" bandwidth.

If there is a company out there that REALLY offers unlimited bandwidth, somehow they manage to stay in business letting all their customers use as much bandwidth they like with no restrictions, you can all meet me at my grave and write non-believer on my tombstone;-)

The site is extremely slow.... you'd think with unlimited bandwidth it would be the fastest one on the internet wouldn't it? I mean... there are no limits

If you only used 10GB then you cant say you know for sure they offer unlimited.

10GB is hardly anything...

Try using 100 gigs of bandwidth and see how long your account stays active...

100 GB isnt even much to me, I offer 150 on our $50.00/mo plan but I know for sure I can handle that, and I dont overload my servers...

But use say 1TB then see how long you stay lol

Wow they can offer unlimited bandwidth from NY!? I wonder which of the tele/colo houses they get their unlimited space for their servers from because surely they can't fit unlimited unlimited accounts on just one machine... right?
