AMD vs Intel; Cloud Computing
Which brand processor would you consider being best suited for the duties of a Cloud's HV servers?
How are AMD's 12-core processors VS similarly priced Intel's (6-cores) when used in a busy Cloud environment?[ IncogNET LLC ] Privacy By Design [Liberty Lake, WA][Kansas City, MO][Allentown, PA][Naaldwijk, NL]

It's a wash, honestly.
We have deployed both 2-Socket Intel Quads (8 real + 8 HT cores total) and 2-Socket AMD 8-core CPUs.
Unless I bring up the hostname of the box I am on, I cannot tell a difference.
I can tell you that the AMD solutions have been substantially cheaper in our experience.█ Brent Presley - brent@innoscale.net
