I am currently building a new site with strict CSS3 and HTML5 validation. As far as SEO purposes go, I need a little advice and would love to hear some opinions. Essentially I am deploying server side includes with PHP. Where would you recommend putting the title and head tags for best search engine exposure? For instance my home page will use several files, but most importantly index.php, header.html, and index.html.
In which file do I put the <head> and <title> tags? Also, if I guess correctly and use <head> and <title> in index.html can I still insert the <head> tag in header.html as well? Or is having two head tags on a page a no no?
So, you are saying I should put the head and title tags in index.html, correct? I see how that makes sense for SEO and search indexing, but for regular coding I find that to be kind of a pain in the butt. For instance, yes keywords and titles are unique to every page, but lots of my head content is not. I.e. style sheets, favicon.ico, scripts, etc. The includes, especially, header.html, kind of lose their value.
Is there anyway around this?
