Exclamation FSCK: attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read

I am manually running FSCK on my hard drive getting thousands of these already and FSCK has not finished running yet.

    Code:
Error reading block 40009985 (Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read) while getting next inode from scan.

    Ignore error? yes

    Force rewrite? yes
What are the chance of me recovering data off this hard drive?

If the drive is failing stop the FSCK.
Mount it as read only and backup your data.

Problem is I can't access the data and also have no where to backup to. The server only have 2 drives, the 2nd drive is 99% full already.

you can always transfer the data over to your local PC. And depending on your DC, you can make a weird request to have a USB enclosure with additional hard drive attached to your server so you can download your data. I know a couple of DCs that have honoured such requests for me

Anyway, you should react pretty fast cause otherwise there will be no data left to backup.
