a2ensite error - site does not exist.

I keep getting an error when trying to add my site to one of my Debian servers. It is saying that the site does not exist. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Is it under /var/etc/apache2/sites-available?

Those are the ones that you can use a2ensite on. Sometimes apps just build their own symlinks into sites-enabled with a different name so that might be where the confusion is coming from.

What do you mean is it under? How would I put it under sites-available?

I recommend doing some more research. Here's an article to get you started. It says Ubuntu Gusty, but its still applicable for you under Debian. Nothing's changed to Apache since then.
