Its very simple. They got backlinks from dofollow high pagerank sites in this period for their website and their pagerank is increased a lot. Every site can achieve this pagerank if it gets enough backlinks from high pagerank sites.

As far as I know this is only possible if you already own a site with a high PR. For example, when you place an outgoing link on the index site of a high rank website that hasn't any other outgoing links this outgoing link is ranked rather high because it appears very important. So I would guess the one who has ranked to PR6 within 7 months already owns such as site. Else I cannot imagine that this is possible.

Must have done a very nice backlinking without spamming. Like if we are going to comment in blogs we should follow the ethics of blog comments to avoid spamming and so on all other backlinking.

perhaps that site is linking to other pages with high quality backlinks. Or, it caters fresh and original content.

Every site can achieve this pagerank if it gets enough back links from high pagerank sites . Back links really can potentially make the difference when establishing a website. This is an extremely important part of how websites are ranked by Search Engines.

I link from a related PR7 website could do it. The bigger test will be to see if the PR hangs on for multiple updates.

If they got high PR back links and Google catch them it will be count as Spam and Google can Penalize for it.

Another way to reach that position it can be article submission in good pagerank websites with backlinks.

Getting the PR6 is no more that getting several pages from other sites with the same PR. If this has been done during the long period of 7 months, then it's a no question why the PR0 turned PR6.

I think this is not possible.A PR 0 site can never to reach at PR6 in only 7 months. You all know if that sites has PR6 then it has got link from PR7,PR8 or PR9.You can imagine how much easy to get backlink from PR7,8 or PR9?One more thing Google has no update pagerank from last 9 months and there was some update in January of very few sites. So I don't think this ll happen. If yes, then congratulation for website owner.

Wow that is a big jump in page rank to go from PR 0 to 6, but it is not impossible. I have seen sites jump in Page Rank and search engine ranking before out of nowhere.

what about network of pages?! If the owner has 10, 20 other pages with a medium to high PR he can easily build it up easily. There are companies who do this type of service for ages. The buy domain that have expired, with a PR 3+ but some content on there and link to whoever want pay for a link. Link Networks is not 100% Blackhat since pages can belong to each other but have independent people behind it. E.g. AOL own Techcrunch, Engadget, AOL.com, Huffington Post....

Highly doubt that, there are so many webmasters buy do follow backlinks from high PageRank websites, but their websites rarely achieve PR6, not to mention in 7 months. So my guess is they have lots of high quality contents and many high PageRank websites quote them.

PR 6 in 7 months is possible, but they must have some really, really, really good backlinks coming into the site.. I've managed to get a site to PR 5 in just under 12 months, so it's definitely possible with the right backlinks.
